Multimedia in e-Learning.
In 1989 Interactive Videodisc was “An Emerging Technology for Educators.” It allowed video to be controlled by a computer for interactive computer-based training programs. I created a CBT program as a capstone project called “Begin in Boston” using a Videodisc. I have decided to create a new course using these videos to construct a web-based fantasy instructional design course as a final project. The course would be a combination of a graduate course “Multimedia in Instructional Design” which I did teach at one time and “Begin in Boston” which was an imaginary course based on the computer based training program.
The Instructional Design Program at the University of Massachusetts is designed for career professionals engaged in the education, training and development of adult learners in the work place. Importance is given to both the planning and the delivery of adult instruction.
