TIME TIME TIME
Time passes much too quickly!!!
I must say that I did not THINK before signing up for this course. Think back to the time when I was in graduate school working and taking classes. Many years ago; The difficulties, the lack of sleep, the commitment needed. It was DIFFICULT then. Now nearly impossible. Life was so simple then. Why didn’t I think?
I wanted to learn. I want to learn. I always want to learn. AND I HAVE LEARNED.
The thing that I regret the most is that I feel very selfish. I took a lot from this course, but gave not enough.
The little time that I did have was spent learning from others, but not sharing with them. The midterm was the most satisfying because I could not let the team down and even took precious time off from work to complete our project. I wish I could have taken the entire 8 weeks off and dedicated my time to learning. Life Happens and I find it was a very worthwhile experience.
P.S.
Technology Toys – I also feel that I spent a great deal of time playing with all of the new technology toys that I was exposed to.

When you consider the consequences of this training can mean life or death for the student when they enter their law enforcement jobs, you start to understand the need for Bloom’s taxonomy in the development of your curriculum.
Learning is Good
Wish there was more time during the week to dedicate to my studies. I had forgotten how brutal a summer course can be. Summer courses were difficult when I was a student, but working full time makes it so difficult. One good thing is that I feel I am learning a lot and that is the primary reason I am here.
I feel I took 2 steps foward last week working with Allison & Norma, but one and a half steps back this week.
Saturday will be dedicated to this weeks assignment. Also need to jump into discussions more.
Teamwork Rules !!!
Worked this week with two great classmates. From the start we worked out a schedule and adjusted to each others time-frames. Initially I thought it was going to be difficult working in three different time zones but everything worked out very well. We connected using conference calls in Skype and left notes and comments in the on our wiki. Bounced ideas off of each other, helped each other and learned from each other. All came together to accomplish our task. Very good week.
Slowly I turn, inch by inch
Making headway. Slowly but making it.
Group project is getting me more involved forcing me to work for the team which is good. Much better week.
Sunday Catch Up
Valiant attempt to catch up. Module 3 is here. Caught up with readings pretty much. Getting the hang of the interface. Taking way to much time with the technology and not enough time with dicussions. Finally read most of the Blogs. Really need to jump into the discussions. Maybe a day of PTO this week.
Still working on week 1
Time management. OH MY – Need a Sunday in the middle of the week.
First time actually “taking” an online course. I have taught online, produced e-learning, and taught faculty how to put their courses online.
I am going to learn sooo much. Very excited. I have already met many interesting classmates.
Wish we had an audio or video chat though. My typing leaves much to be desired. I may have to post audio files.
